Nicosia is a district situated in the north north west of the island of Cyprus. The district is named after the main city which is also the capital of the district and the largest city in Cyprus - Nicosia.
The Nicosia district is NOT one of the more popular districts for foreign property buyers mainly due to the long dry, arid summers inland and in particular the city of Nicosia itself. However the region does stretch to the coast on the north north west of the island and there is a market for investors in the old part of the city of Nicosia itself.
